Our Department
In the Division of Digital Imaging,
Medical Illustration and Graphics (formerly
Educational Media) we create illustrations & figures,
design printed materials, create and print roll-up
poster sessions, and offer many other services in
support of research and teaching at Georgetown University.
Our support for Poster
Sessions is extensive. Not only can we
design and print your posters, but we offer help to
those who wish to design posters themselves in PowerPoint.
If you don't have much experience designing rollups,
please visit our online Rollup
Poster Tutorial page. Here you will find
helpful information about setting up the poster, type
issues, etc. We also offer various templates to help
get you started. We offer these templates as a free
service and kindly request that they be used only
if you are bringing the poster in to us for printing.
We image high-quality color prints (and
slides) from your PowerPoint files and from digital
image files (TIFFS, JPEGS, etc). We can create artwork
that includes surgical and anatomic drawings, schematics
and mechanical drawings. Visit our Services
page for a complete list.
Where we are
Our Department is located in Room
GM-6, in the Preclinical Science Building. We're across
the hallway from the main entrance to the Dahlgren
Memorial Library and the Medical Bookstore. See Map.
Hours
FACS is open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
Pricing
There are charges for all services,
however, we offer many options to keep costs within
your budget. We are happy to supply estimates to projects
of any size. We have established turn-around times
for most services. Turn-around times for large projects
will be dictated by the scope and complexity of the
project, and upon our current workload. There is an
additional charge for work requested on a rush basis.
