Section 1 > Exercise 1 > Plastination images
This is a continuation of the experience of laying bare the inner working of the body. Think about what it means to use real bodies in this process and relate them to the experience of physical antomical dissection. Then proceed to the next page.
B. Plastination is an embalming process through which bodily fluids are replaced by acetone, which in turn is replaced by reactive plastics while still in the body. Liquid plastic is infused into every cell using a method called forced vacuum impregnation. The result is a specimen preserved as plastic.
