A published article by Prof. Christian Wolf and two of his graduate students, Hanhui Xu and Kekeli Ekoue-Kovi, was reprinted in SYNFACTS. The article, “Palladium-phosphinous Acid-catalyzed Cross-coupling of Aryl and Acyl Halides with Aryl, Alkyl and Vinyl Zinc Reagents” (Xu, H.; Ekoue-Kovi, K.; Wolf, C. The Journal of Organic Chemistry 2008, 73, 7638-7650), was selected by the Editorial Board of SYNFACTS for its important insights. The electronic reprint of this article was published in the December 2008 issue of SYNFACTS and highlighted some aspects of the paper. The aim of SYNFACTS is to inform, on a monthly basis and in a concise manner, of the most significant recent developments and future trends in synthetic chemistry in order to stimulate research and the development of exciting new ideas.
