Father Kevin FitzGerald, S.J.

Father Kevin Fitzgerald is a Research Associate Professor in the Division of Biochemistry and Pharmacology of the Department of Oncology, and holds the David Lauler Chair for Catholic Health Care Ethics at the Georgetown University Medical Center's Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center. He holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics and a Ph.D. in Bioethics from Georgetown University. His research interests have included the investigation of abnormal gene regulation in cancer and ethical issues in human genetics, including the ethical and social ramifications of molecular genetics research.

He serves as a member of the Center for Clinical Bioethics, the Advisory Board for the Center for Infectious Disease (CID), and the Angiogenesis, Invasion, Metastasis Program at GUMC's Lombardi Cancer Center. He is an expert on human cloning, cloning research, ethics of cloning, and genetic testing.
