Cabaret for a New Day

Join the Georgetown Center for Liturgy and Holy Trinity Church for an evening's entertainment featuring "A trip to the South Pacific and to Homer's Wine-dark Sea," songs from two musicals composed by Fr. Larry Madden, SJ and Fr. Bill O'Malley, SJ, and much more!

Webinar on Accessible Liturgical Spaces

EnVisionChurch, (A project of the Georgetown Center for Liturgy) in partnership with the National Catholic Partnership on Disability, conducted a webinar on Access to Liturgical Spaces: Welcoming ALL to this Place. This webinar explored the components of accessible liturgical spaces and how to achieve it. The webinar was presented by Robert Habiger, AIA, ACLS and moderated by Anne Koester (Editorial Director of EnVisionChurch).  

The event took place on Tuesday, March 10, 2009 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm EDT.

Also, for those individuals seeking CEU's, one contact hour was available from Georgetown University Department of Theology by prior arrangement.

The Georgetown Center’s program for presiders and preachers: Integrating Ritual Studies, Theology and Spirituality, and developing Performance Capacity, the distance learning program includes "coaches" to assist the learner in building practical competency in their role. In addition to our overview page, we have a special page dedicated to the coaching philosophy with lists and bios of the program coaches—some of the best teachers of presiding and preaching in the country.

The Georgetown Center for Liturgy Annual Study Tour

The Georgetown Center for Liturgy hosts an annual Study Tour abroad. These tours bring to life for the participants how the history and spirituality of the liturgy are both reflected and nurtured by the great liturgical art and architecture of the ages. Previous tours have visted Rome in 2006 and 2007, and most recently Amsterdam and Brussels in 2008. Please stay tuned for more information about the 2009 Study Tour.
