The U.S. "Citizenship, Involvement, Democracy” (CID) survey was commissioned by Georgetown University’s Center for Democracy and Civil Society (CDACS). The survey was funded primarily by a grant from Atlantic Philanthropies, with additional support from the Weidenbaum Center on the Economy, Government, and Public Policy at Washington University in St. Louis. Marc Morjé Howard, with the assistance of James L. Gibson and Dietlind Stolle, was primarily responsible for executing the survey.
