Task Force on Staff-AAP OrganizationAppointed by Spiros Dimolitsas, Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer, in late 2009, the Task Force on Staff-AAP Organization was comprised of Georgetown University staff and Academic Administrative Professionals (AAPs) from the Main Campus, Medical Center, Law Center, and University Services, and Mary Anne Mahin, Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer, who served as co-chair of the Task Force. The purpose of the Task Force was to develop and recommend the structure for an organization to represent Georgetown University non-union staff and AAPs so that their views and interests may be considered, alongside those of faculty and students, in the conduct of institutional affairs that affect life in the workplace and in the advancement of the University's mission. In December 2011, the University Executive Committee approved a recommendation for a Staff-AAP Organization and the work of the Task Force was completed. An election committee was formed to run the inaugural election in June 2012 for the university's first Staff-AAP Advisory Council.
