Opportunities for Retirees

Research and policy fellows are needed by a federal agency:

An independent federal agency headquartered in Washington, The Corporation for National and Community Service, is seeking to engage retired Georgetown faculty members as professional volunteers (e.g., as Research or Policy Fellows) in that organization. Volunteers would conduct research on volunteering, service programs, and civic engagement. Interested retirees should contact LaMonica Shelton, Associate Director of  the Office of Research and Policy Development of CNCS  at 202 606 6743 or LShelton@cns.gov.

Support for research and publication:

Retired faculty should apply through the AMCRF Executive Council for small grants ($400) to support research and publication expenses. These grants are awarded by the Graduate School. To apply, please send the AMCRF President a one-page description of the use to which you would put such a grant, if it were awarded.

Teaching in  Liberal Studies Degree Programs:

Emeriti interested in continued teaching in the School of Continuing Studies are encouraged to confer with the dean responsible for the MALS and DLS programs and/or with Dean Vincent Kiernan who is in charge of the BALS program.
